On Thursday, Sangini team have done the campaign on safe city for women’s in public transport from Tilak Nagar to Chirayu Hospital road in TR 1 bus and from Chirayu Hospital to Bairagadh Chichali. In this program, we have talk to the womens, girls and men’s about the safety and security in public transport; we have also distributed brochures, stickers and other materials on women safety.


Last year, it was reported that to curb crime in public places, religious sites, buses, college, school, workplace, including women will be equipped with CCTV cameras. The female crime areas have been identified, where the police would be deployed. It was also mentioned that the Department of Women and Child Development is developing the project. Bhopal safe for women to make safety audit will also be conducted. It will mark those areas where incidents of crime against women in the last three years occurred. Audit due to be unsafe in the city’s main streets will be searched. The field audits will be made by the women and men volunteer.

The volunteer malls, residential areas and streets around and will discuss the issue of women and passengers. The place to be explored, why it unsafe. Brochures were given informing commuters whom to approach in case of emergency and how to take help of police personnel and Dial 100 services etc. Awareness were also given to curb incidents of against pick pockets and how to take safety precaution while traveling.
