As India battles a second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, Bangalore-based Verloop.io has joined in the battle to procure and distribute Oxygen Cylinders. This will aid patients from underprivileged backgrounds, as they await beds at hospitals. The company is forming a communication highway between those who need Oxygen and those who have it, including individuals and hospitals - by bringing in bot-powered efficiency to the system. It is working with medical manufacturers, NGOs, charities, food delivery networks, organizations, and groups associated with Covid-19 care, to build an “information bot” on WhatsApp.

“India is facing a humanitarian crisis of magnanimous proportions. As human beings and corporations, now are the time for us to work together in a way that ensures that the needy are served in the best manner possible. We are working towards a method to help provide Oxygen cylinders to patients who are unable to receive hospital care. This, we hope, will also reduce the stress on the healthcare systems as we battle the pandemic relentlessly,” said Gaurav Singh, Founder, and CEO, Verloop.io.

“We are handling the WhatsApp chat all the time to ensure it responds to everyone who is in need. We are keeping an eye on any specific information or emergency being called in the conversations,” he added.

“With the second wave of Covid19 hitting India hard, the under privileged are the most vulnerable and are hit hard. In 2020, we were able to serve 58 lakh meals for stranded migrant workers. We have embarked, now in April 2021, to save lives by supplying free oxygen concentrators to the needy so that they can get critical life support till they find a hospital bed, get access to doctors, or recover completely", said K. Ganesh, who along with Juggy Marwaha, Venkat Narayana & Neeraj Bhargava started the MillionAir initiative under the FeedMyCity umbrella of KVN foundation.

"Verloop.io has collaborated with us in our combat against the virus by providing a WhatsApp automation bot that enables us to get the right resources to the right folks on time", he adds.

Verlopp.io has also opened its platform free-of-cost to NGOs and other institutions which are working to provide Covid care. It has already partnered with KVN Foundation which is working to provide emergency Oxygen support. Razorpay and Verloop.io also came together to help NGOs raise donations via WhatsApp chatbot. The programme is currently active in Bangalore and Mumbai and is looking to expand to other cities as well.
