Christmas is all about sharing joy and love. To spread the Christmas cheer, mPokket – India's fastest-growing youth focused lending platform – organised a campaign, #mPoweringSmiles at the Aashiyana Happy Home, an orphanage near Kolkata. The company's donation activity was a small gesture on its part to give back to the community. The main objective of this campaign was to engage mPokket's employees and serve people in need.

As a part of the campaign, mPokket's employees stepped forward to donate clothes, utensils and other belonging to the kids at the orphanage. They spent a day there, interacting and engaging with the children, spreading love and joy on the merry occasion of Christmas. Through this campaign, the platform served needy children, making their holiday season all the more merrier and joyful.

mPokket's Founder and CEO, Gaurav Jalan, also visited the orphanage along with his family and interacted with the kids. The kids played and interacted with all the visitors from mPokket.

Talking about the #mPoweringSmiles campaign, Gaurav Jalan, Founder & CEO, mPokket commented, "Christmas and the holiday season is about sharing joy with others and while we all look forward to celebrate such occasions with our friends and family, why not be there for people who do not have a family to call their own. We feel really happy that we could do our little something for these kids. It was a truly humbling and memorable experience for all of us. It was a small step to express our gratitude towards the society we are part of. We are proud that all our employees came together to donate several items like clothes, raw food items, cash, and winter essentials, anything and everything big or small they could have, and contributed to their maximum ability. Our purpose is to serve beyond customers and employees and be a value provider who are equally thoughtful about the community."

More than 500 employees donated in this campaign and 10 of mPokket's employees visited the Aashiyana Happy home. mPokket took its first step towards brightening the lives of children this Christmas.
