Smile Foundation has been awarded the ASSOCHAM Best CSR Excellence in Healthcare Award 2024 in the NGO category at the 3rd Healthcare Summit in New Delhi. This honor recognizes Smile Foundation’s impactful healthcare initiatives that have significantly improved accessibility and affordability for underserved communities across India.

In the financial year 2023-24, Smile Foundation delivered 1.3 million medical treatments through a vast network of 93 Mobile Medical Units, 8 Mobile Telemedicine Units, 4 Mobile Dental Units, 3 static clinics, and multiple Multi-Specialty Health Camps across 73 districts in 17 states. The program reached over 1.06 million individuals, with 75% of beneficiaries being women and children, providing free consultations, pathology services, medicines, and referrals.

Smile Foundation’s healthcare initiatives align with India’s Ayushman Bharat program, focusing on reducing out-of-pocket expenses, improving maternal and child health awareness, and strengthening linkages with government health facilities. By leveraging digital health solutions, including telemedicine and smart diagnostics, the Foundation has enhanced patient screening and facilitated access to healthcare via the e-Sanjeevani platform.

Upon receiving the award, Santanu Mishra, Co-founder & Executive Trustee of Smile Foundation, expressed, "This recognition is a testament to the dedication of our healthcare teams working tirelessly across the country. We remain committed to bridging healthcare gaps and ensuring no one is left behind."

The award underscores Smile Foundation’s unwavering mission to provide quality healthcare to tribal and aspirational districts, ensuring even the most marginalized communities receive essential medical services. Beyond treatment, the Foundation actively promotes health awareness campaigns, covering topics like maternal and elderly care, communicable diseases, and lifestyle changes, complementing government health missions.
