According to UGC Helpline, other states with high number of ragging cases includes West Bengal (53), Uttar Pradesh (51), Orissa (30), Kerala (29), Tamil Nadu (25), Karnataka 23and Bihar (21) cases during the year 2015. “We have put various restrictions on students to curb ragging menace from campuses. Affidavits are submitted during admission, anti-ragging committee has been set up, several students have been suspended from hostels and campuses but even after all these things complaints are being reported. However, there are some fake complaints to take personal revenge.” said Anil Goel, Student Welfare Dean RGPV. |
