Hogan & Sons Tire and Auto, a family-owned community leader in automotive service and repair, sponsored several fundraising events at its eight locations in Northern Virginia to help raise over $12,000 towards awareness for pediatric cancer in partnership with the StillBrave Childhood Cancer Foundation.

The funds raised will go towards sponsoring eight miles of a 206-mile endurance ultramarathon in honor of children fighting cancer and for those who lost their lives. StillBrave’s founder, “Tattoo” Tom Mitchell, who is running the race, is dedicating each mile of the race in honor of a particular child.  He hopes to continue his fundraising efforts in support of StillBrave’s mission to help even more children and families. Tom started the StillBrave Childhood Cancer Foundation after losing his teenage daughter to cancer in 2009 and now dedicates his life in providing support and care to children and families facing this deadly childhood disease.

"Hogan & Sons was honored to be part of this effort to help those children fighting against such a deadly disease. We are grateful for the contributions of our community and staff who helped support this foundation. The partnership between local business and charity is truly a testament to the great things we can accomplish collectively to improve the community and save children’s lives” said Phillip Hogan, owner at Hogan & Sons.  Both Hogan & Sons and StillBrave hope that together they can create awareness and make a difference in the community.
