Dr. Tamizhisai Sounderarajan launches two Breast Screening devices

Chennai, September 15, 2018: LIMA (Lifeline Institute of Minimal Access), one of India’s leading Multi-Speciality hospitals specialised in keyhole surgery in association with Imaigal Foundation (NGO), today unveiled “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” in continuance of the Hon’ble PM’s initiative themed “Save Girl Child & Educate Girl Child ModiForPM”, National Campaign.
This was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Dr. Tamizhisai Sounderarajan, President, BJP in the presence of Dr. J S Rajkumar, Surgeon & Chairman, LIMA and Mr. Sai Sudhakar, State President, ModiForPM followed by a “Free Breast Cancer Screening Camp” as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility.
The breast cancer screening camp was organised from 10:00 am onwards in the premises of LIMA, Chennai and 4 doctors and their trained paramedical teams were present to service over 100 beneficiaries in and around Chennai. The camp was conducted by women for women and consultation was done to the women beneficiaries who attended the camp.
Commenting on the launch, Dr. J S Rajkumar, Surgeon & Chairman, LIMA, said, “We are proud to host this camp at our premises and the group is poised to upgrade the existing facility in Kilpauk by introducing CT, MRI, Mammography with latest technology to ensure hassle-free and comprehensive cancer care treatment”.
He added, “At LIMA, we believe in introducing the latest equipment to provide comfort zone to our patients. Simultaneously, we conduct training sessions frequently to our paramedical and non-paramedical personnel to ensure they are well-equipped to handle any exigencies”.
Inaugurating the camp, Dr. Tamizhisai Sounderarajan, President, Bharatiya Janata Party (Tamil Nadu), said, “I am extremely happy to inaugurate this camp, a pioneering initiative by LIMA led by Dr. Rajkumar and his team for the women as they are the strongest pillars of our society”.
Currently, LIMA has strong presence in and around Chennai as a Corporate Multi-Speciality Hospital with 16 units in collaboration with top 10 corporate companies in Chennai. Keeping the current scenario in mind, LIMA has plans to construct a comprehensive cancer care unit near Chennai. The proposed centre would be equipped with facilities in detecting cancer at early stages and treat organ-specific treatment at an affordable cost”.
