New Delhi: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Manav Rachna University (MRU) and Daikin Air-Conditioning India Pvt. Ltd. (DAIPL) to establish a ‘Daikin Centre of Excellence’ at the MRU campus today.

The MoU was signed between Mr. A P S Gandhi, GM, Services, Training & Development, DAIPL and Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Srivastava, VC, MRU in the presence of Dr. Amit Bhalla, VP, MREI; Mr. K D Virmani, Sr. VP, Operations, DAIPL and other senior dignitaries from the two organizations.

While sharing the purpose behind this MoU, Mr. APS Gandhi said: “Very often in the industry, we do not get the requisite and skilled manpower in the air-conditioning sector. This tie-up will ensure hands on practical exposure for the students and help them acquire the new technologies being practiced in the air-conditioning industry including the VRV technology, refrigerant technology and inverter technology. Daikin is already a global leader in these technologies”.

Congratulating the students and faculty members of MRU, Dr. Amit Bhalla said: “Manav Rachna has always believed in providing cutting edge technology to its students to prepare them as future leaders and technocrats of tomorrow. We already have state-of-the-art research labs and Centres of Excellence that have been grooming our students for competitions & projects, publishing papers, sponsored R&D projects and training in advanced areas. This tie-up with Daikin, the global leaders in the air-conditioning industry is just another step in that direction”.
