IIM Udaipur is the youngest B-school in Asia to get listed in the FT Master in Management (MIM) Ranking 2019. Until 2018, only three IIMs were part of the FT MIM rankings - IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore, and Calcutta. In 2019, IIM Udaipur joins this prestigious list at the 76th position.

The rankings of the international business newspaper Financial Times (FT), published in more than 20 countries, are a recognized quality indicator for a business school. To be eligible for Financial Times rankings the business school must meet certain quality standards including international accreditation (EQUIS or AACSB). FT Masters in Management ranks master's programs in the field of management. It’s based on data received from the schools and their graduates which are interviewed anonymously. Among the most significant criteria affecting a place in the ranking are the weighted average salary of graduates three years after graduation, career growth and graduate status three years after graduation, international career mobility, international academic mobility, percentage of teachers with a doctoral degree, and salary three years after graduation minus training costs.

“Being in the top 100 positions in the world is an important milestone and achieving it in less than ten years confirms that IIMU’s approaches and practices are comparable to the best globally management institutes. For a young Institute like IIM Udaipur confirms that IIMU is well on its way to attaining its long-term objective of becoming a globally recognized management institute. Last year, IIMU became the youngest Institute in the country to receive the AACSB accreditation (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) and joined the elite group of 5 percent of the world’s B-schools,” said Pankaj Patel, Chairman of IIM Udaipur.

“It is a matter of pride for IIMU to receive this global recognition. It is an endorsement of our accomplished faculty, our talented students and exceptional alumni. We look forward to continuing to grow and build on our solid relationship with partners in all sectors of the Indian industry. From day one, IIMU has been focussed on building a globally recognized management institution. Getting listed in FT Master in Management Rankings, at such an early stage, gives us the confidence to continue to dream big. We have benefited from the impressive legacy built by IIMs over more than fifty years and are proud of breaking new ground by focusing on world-class research, forging strong bonds with our corporate partners and providing a transformational experience for our students.”, said Janat Shah, Director, IIM Udaipur.

Along with the well-established two year MBA, IIMU’s doctoral-level Ph.D. program, and the one year MBA in Global Supply Chain Management, the Institute has recently launched the first-ever one year MBA program in Digital Enterprise Management for experienced professionals which will be starting in April 2020.
