The NorthCap University (NCU), Gurgaon, today announced its participation in AWS Academy, a program by Amazon Web Services (AWS) that provides higher education institutions with a ready-to-teach cloud computing curriculum. This new initiative by NCU is in alignment with its vision to include best-in-class industry-ready computing courses in its engineering and management programs.

The NorthCap University, one of the country’s leading universities with over 25 years of legacy, is renowned for its academic excellence, extensive degree courses, and relevant research programs. In the new age of the digital economy, NCU is committed to integrating contemporary courses to prepare its students to be industry-ready with in-demand technology skills.

AWS Academy courses help students develop in-demand cloud computing skills by providing hands-on experience in the AWS Cloud, and lessons based on actual industry scenarios. The courses and learning resources are aligned to industry-recognized AWS Certification and are developed and maintained by AWS and taught by AWS Academy accredited educators.

Sunil PP, Lead – Education, Space, and Non-Profits, India and South Asia, Amazon Internet Services Pvt. By offering AWS-authored courses and learning resources to educators, we are investing in higher education at large, supporting administrators and educators as they prepare their students to join the 21st-century workforce.”

“The NorthCap University aims to provide a strong industry connect for students which not only helps them in getting employment and internships but create an environment where students can develop their skills as per the latest industry trends. AWS Academy will be a catalyst for us in this approach and provide students with relevant technology skills to be part of the future workforce,” said Prof. Kavita Khanna, Head of Computer Science and Engineering Department and lead for this initiative at NCU.
