New Delhi: Speaking at the World Leader Summit organized by Arijit Bhattacharya Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios disclosed the revolution he has brought to the film, TV and media education in India thirty years back.
“It was difficult to convenience people of this country that film education can be delivered to aspirants by a private educational institution in this country. AAFT- Asian Academy of Film and Television is the fourth film institution in the country, the first three belongs to the Government of India. The myth was broken by Sandeep Marwah in 1993 when first film school in private sector and first in the North of India was established and brought the first biggest change in the country,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of AAFT.
“All over the World including India film and mass communication courses were part of Post-Graduation (Master Courses). First time Sandeep Marwah brought the level of film training to Undergraduate level and 12th became the basic requirement to these courses. It was a huge change in the mindset and many students who wanted to be in creative arts appreciated and saved three years of unessential education in other disciplines,” added Marwah.
First time mass communication courses were redesigned from theory inputs to skill development inputs. Sandeep Marwah faced huge criticism but succeed in applying large practical in all these courses, especially in degree courses.
Never seen before the application form of enrolment to get admission in college cut down two tough requirements of Cast & creed of the student and the religion of the aspirants. Sandeep Marwah first time got them deleted these two massive old traditions from the admission forms.
The International audience appreciated the efforts of Dr. Sandeep Marwah which has changed the scene in World Film TV and Media World during World Leader Summit online with almost 120 delegates from 100 countries of the World. No doubt Sandeep Marwah has been titled as Global Media Guru.WLS also nominated him as Global Chairman-Media & Entertainment Committee.
