Individuals willing to pursue a Doctorate in International Relations can now enroll at the Geneva School of Diplomacy and International Relations. The newly launched program to become a Doctor of International Relations is one of the university's best courses to be offered. The prestigious program can help in providing an interdisciplinary and in-depth knowledge of International Relations and Diplomacy. The doctoral degrees can be offered in two modalities: Doctors or International Relations by Research and Doctor of International Relations by Dossier. The DIR by research program is a distance course with nine mandatory visits to the university. The DIR by Dossier is awarded to leading authorities who have offered scholarly work in the field of study.



The DIY by Research is a three-year program with a tuition fee of CHF 11'000 every year. Therefore, it requires CHF 33'000 to complete the three-year program of DIR by Research. The expense of DIR by Dossier is around CHF 9'000. You will also need to cover an application fee of CHF 500, which is non-refundable. Apart from that, becoming a Doctor of International Relations from GSD requires various other investments. All payments for the course need to be cleared a month before the intake.
