Indian Institute of Management Udaipur, one of India’s globally ranked & accredited premier B-Schools, today announced a unique collaboration of its Center for Healthcare and Center for Digital Enterprise in holding a webinar to examine digital solutions to effective healthcare management in India on March 16, 2022.

The webinar assumes both relevance and importance against the backdrop of an increasing application of digital health solutions across healthcare ecosystems, the ongoing battle with Covid, the recent Government approval for a nationwide roll out of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission with an outlay of INR 1600 crores, and, above all, India’s unique healthcare management challenges.

The webinar will feature Mr. Kiran Anandampalli, CEO & Founder – iDrishti and Adviser (Technology) at National Health Authority, India, in an opening address. This will be followed by a panel discussion featuring Prof. Vijay Chandru (Commissioner, Lancet Citizen’s Commission on reimagining India’s Health System), Mr. Jagdeep Gambhir (CEO & Co-Founder, Karma Healthcare) and Mr. Jaydev Varma (Head of Product, Ancora Health, Amsterdam). The event will be hosted and moderated by Prof. Prakash Satyavageeswaran and Prof. Vedha Ponnappan of IIM Udaipur.

The webinar will be held between 6.30 and 8:00 pm on 16th March 2022 and attendees can pre-register at https://bit.ly/3CfjWXB

The Centre for Healthcare (CFH) at IIM Udaipur originated to provide a platform for rigorous healthcare research in India from a management perspective. The objective was to bring together academicians from management, public health, health economics, practitioners, and research active medical professionals to understand and solve fundamental issues in healthcare in low and middle-income countries (LMIC). The CFH focuses on projects related to primary healthcare, nutrition, and healthcare enablers such as technology and data.

The role of IIMU's Centre for Digital Enterprise (CDE) is to create and sustain a dynamic environment for thought leadership in all aspects of digital transformation. CDE enables IIMU to focus its various activities relating to digital transformation across programs and academic disciplines, to create new initiatives and partnerships, and to expand research opportunities.

Speaking on the upcoming event, Prof Janat Shah, Director, IIM Udaipur, said, “As we begin to complete activities around our 10th Anniversary, I am delighted to see the collaboration of two of our Centres on a subject of such importance. It is in line with our objective of fostering thought leadership in management across domains such as digital and healthcare. As we work toward achieving our Vision 2030, we hope to see more such path-breaking initiatives being undertaken.”
