Noida: “Documentaries are an important medium of storytelling that has the power to inform, educate, inspire, and provoke thought among audiences. They provide a unique perspective on various subjects and issues, shedding light on lesser-known or underrepresented topics. Documentaries have the potential to capture the essence of real-life events and convey emotions, making them a powerful tool for social and political change,” said Dr, Sandeep Marwah Chancellor of AAFT University and President of IDFF on the launching of 11th International Documentary Film Festival Noida at Marwah Studios.

“Documentaries can serve as a record of history, capturing significant events and movements that may have gone unnoticed or misrepresented in mainstream media. They can also bring attention to important social and environmental issues, such as climate change, poverty, human rights, and animal welfare. Documentaries can give a voice to marginalized communities, amplify their struggles, and bring awareness to their stories,” expressed Rahul Rawail renowned film maker from Mumbai while lighting the ceremonial lamp.

Moreover, documentaries offer a platform for filmmakers to showcase their artistry and creativity, as well as push the boundaries of traditional storytelling techniques.
