The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) and the Media and Entertainment Skills Council (MESC) have forged a significant alliance aimed at promoting skill development within the Media and Entertainment industry. An MOU was signed today between Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI, and Mr. Ramesh Sippy, Chairman of MESC.

Since its establishment in 2014, ICMEI has aimed to foster better relations with every nation worldwide through art and culture. MESC, formed in 2012 under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, is a Not-for-Profit Organization. This esteemed council,

promoted by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), has been a forerunner in skill development with financial backing from the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). The MESC also holds accreditation as an awarding body with the National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET).

This unprecedented alliance aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry needs, enhancing the skills needed in the fast-growing media and entertainment sector. The joint venture plans to support various skill development programs spanning multiple countries, enriching the talent pool and boosting industry growth.

The partnership’s ambitious plans extend to curating and conducting international festivals, conferences, seminars, master classes, workshops, and events regularly. These initiatives will serve as platforms for individuals to experience diverse global cultures, facilitating an enriching exchange of knowledge and practices.

Dr. Marwah said at the signing, “Our collaboration with MESC is a significant milestone towards building a vibrant, skilled workforce in the media and entertainment industry. We are committed to fostering a learning environment that resonates with the industry’s needs.”

Mr. Sippy echoed these sentiments, stating, “This partnership aligns with our vision to empower individuals with the skills and exposure necessary to excel in the media and entertainment sector. We are excited to collaborate with ICMEI in creating transformative opportunities.” The arrangement was initiated by Mr. Mohit Soni CEO of MESC.

By uniting the expertise and networks of both organizations, this alliance offers a promising pathway to the comprehensive development of skills in the media and entertainment industry. It signifies a new chapter in preparing the global talent pool to meet industry demands and to cultivate a more connected and culturally aware world.
