Noida: In a remarkable display of cultural diplomacy and educational collaboration, the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), in partnership with the Indo DPR Korea Film and Cultural Forum, presented scholarships to deserving students from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPR Korea).



The scholarships offer an opportunity for these students to pursue short-term courses at the prestigious Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT) in India. The ceremonial presentation took place during the visit of His Excellency Choe Hui Choi the Ambassador of DPR Korea to India, at the Marwah Studios in Noida Film City.



The initiative was hailed by Dr. Sandeep Marwah, a prominent figure in the media and entertainment industry and the driving force behind the endeavor. Dr. Marwah expressed that the establishment of the Indo DPR Korea Film and Cultural Forum serves as a bridge to foster closer ties between the people of India and DPR Korea through the medium of arts and culture. This scholarship program underscores the shared commitment of both nations to promote mutual understanding and cooperation.



His Excellency Choe Hui Choi the Ambassador of DPR Korea, lauded the collaborative effort and emphasized the potential of art and culture to facilitate meaningful interactions and exchanges between nations. He expressed optimism about the positive impact that such initiatives can have on further strengthening and developing the bilateral relations between the two countries.



The scholarships offer a unique opportunity for Korean students to gain exposure and insights into the world of media and entertainment through AAFT’s short-term courses.
