A groundbreaking tripartite agreement has been set in motion, heralding an innovative approach to Aerospace Manufacturing Technology Skilling and Higher Education in India, centered around the pivotal concept of On-the-Job Training (OJT) and Skill based education.

Medhavi Skills University (MSU), a pioneering Institution in integrating the skilling ecosystem with Higher education, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Aequs Private Limited, a prominent figure in diversified contract manufacturing, and the esteemed NSDC, the nation's apex body for Skill Development.

The MoU was executed and witnessed at NSDC Kaushal Bhavan, New Delhi in the presence of MSU Founder and Chancellor Mr. Pravesh Dudani, Co-founder & Pro-Chancellor Mr Kuldip Sarma, Chief Operating Officer of Aequs Group of Companies Mr. Rajeev Kaul, Vice President of Aequs Mr. Basavant Patil, Vice-President (Skill Development) of Aequs Mr. Vishal Kulkarni, CEO & MD of NSDC Mr. Ved Mani Tiwari.

Under the framework of this MoU, an innovative work-integrated Bachelor’s and Master’s degree program in Aerospace Manufacturing Technology will be co-developed. Candidates enrolled in this "Learn & Earn" initiative will experience high-end practical training at AEQUS's state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. Concurrently, MSU will shoulder the delivery of foundational academic courses, ensuring that learners are grounded in both theory and practice. Amplifying the synergy, NSDC will integrate formal apprenticeship modules under the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) backed by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE).

A pivotal aspect of this alliance is the integration of OJT-based higher education and vocational training, which has emerged as a potent solution to the dual challenges of youth employability and the industry's quest for skilled manpower. The New National Credit Framework (NCrF) under the auspices of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 further amplifies this by recognizing the invaluable potential of work experience gained by youths in industries, offering credits for competencies acquired through OJT and Apprenticeships.

Adding to the endeavor's ambitious roadmap, there are plans to establish a state-of-the-art Centre of Excellence within the Aequs SEZ in Belgavi, Karnataka. This center aspires to be a gold standard for industry-academic partnerships, equipping the youth with the latest, industry-relevant engineering education.

Reflecting on this monumental stride, MSU Pro-Chancellor, Mr. Kuldip Sarma, said, "We're not just setting milestones but charting a new course for the nation's education. Our aim is to robustly equip our youth with industry-pertinent skills, ensuring they not only thrive in their careers but also contribute significantly to the industry."

Mr. Rajeev Kaul, Chief Operating Officer of Aequs Group of Companies, emphasized, "This alliance is a testament to our commitment to the youth development, presenting them with unparalleled practical training and work opportunities and an academic degree of repute which will especially empower youths from disadvantaged communities."

NSDC's CEO, Mr. Ved Mani Tiwari, expressed, "This collaboration resonates with our mission to provide youth with skill-enhancement opportunities that are in tandem with industry needs. Together, we are paving a path for a skilled and empowered future."

In its essence, this partnership embodies a collective vision to bridge the aerospace skill gap, merging academic rigor with industry expertise to mold a generation ready for the aerospace challenges of tomorrow.
