Houston, Texas-based Genova Health, LLC has added Austin, Texas-based Accountable Aging Care Management and ProperCare, two premier providers of care management services, to the Genova Health family of companies. On March 31, 2018, Genova Health closed on its acquisition of substantially all of the assets of Accountable Aging Care Management and ProperCare. The acquired entities now operate under the Accountable Aging Care Management brand, and the entire team at each acquired entity, including management, has joined Genova Health.

“While operating offices in five Texas cities, Accountable Aging has maintained a reputation as a top-tier provider of geriatric care management services. ProperCare, like Accountable Aging, has enjoyed strong and well-established relationships with referral sources and institutions enabling them to offer best-in-class service to clients,” stated Daniel Gottschalk, President of Genova Health. “We are proud to bring two exceptional companies together to work towards a shared mission.”

“Genova believes strongly that care management plays a vital role in ensuring older adults have the best chance possible to live a high-quality life,” stated Alex Bonetti, CEO of Genova Health. “Adding Accountable Aging and ProperCare to the Genova family of companies aligns with our strategy of becoming the leading solution to serve clients wherever they call home. We’re looking forward to working with both teams to further our mission of providing Better Care. Better Health. Every Day.”

“I am very excited to enter this new chapter in the evolution of ProperCare,” shared Rhone McCall, President of ProperCare. “Having previously owned a home care company, I had been looking for a home care partner that understood the vision of our care management company, and I believe we’ve found that in Genova. I’ve always held Mary Koffend and the team at Accountable Aging in high esteem, and I’m thrilled to work alongside them and help lead our combined organization into the next chapter.”

“Since inception, Accountable Aging has sought to improve the quality of life for our clients by providing competent, compassionate solutions tailored to our clients’ needs,” said Mick Koffend, co-founder of Accountable Aging. We’re grateful to have found Family Tree, a company that values our mission and enjoys a reputation for outstanding quality and commitment.” “It will be a privilege to work with Rhone and the ProperCare Team” commented Mary Koffend, President of Accountable Aging. “I’m confident that the combined companies will continue the legacy we envisioned when Mick and I started Accountable Aging Care Management 16 years ago.”

This agreement furthers Genova Health’s desire to add top tier care management services to bolster the company’s position as the premier solution for older adults seeking to age in place. Accountable Aging owner Mary Koffend will continue as the President of Accountable Aging, while Mick Koffend will serve as Director of Business Development, Care Management. ProperCare owner Rhone McCall will serve as Director of Care Management. Adding talent from Accountable Aging and ProperCare is part of Genova Health’s strategy to add prominent leaders with significant industry expertise in every market the company serves.
